Coming out just in time for your summer reading plans, Flash Art International 's July-September issue helps you dig
into the thrilling contemporary art scene of Paris. Focus Paris provides a snapshot of this fast-paced and culturally
diverse art scene, beginning with a dictionary guide to about 50 emerging artists. Centre Pompidou's curator Christine
Macel presents “ The French Connection ” an overview of the work of six outstanding young artists: Marcelline
Delbecq, Vincent Lamouroux, Loris Gréaud, Guillaume Leblon, Vincent Olinet and Zoulikha Bouabdellah; Daniel Buren
responds to Jérôme Sans with a quick sketch of French art over the last few decades; Aperto Paris , by Chris Sharp, is
a map of the growing network of non-profit and alternative spaces; and for the Collecting column Sonia Campagnola
speaks with the inexhaustible collector and gallery-owner Yvon Lambert about his experience in collecting and his
relationships with artists. Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle speaks with art critic Jens Asthoff about his work and how his paintings always
relate back to his objet-trouvé philosophy.
On the other side of the world in New York, Gedi Sibony, a participant in this year's Whitney Biennial , is interviewed
by the show's co-curator Philippe Vergne.
