Coming Out # 1 is an important piece in my artistic development because it uses the original audio recording of my coming out to my parents and my brother during a familly diner. The score has been linked to a video sequence of me, dancing in my room in a style inspired by Michael Jackson or James Brown. The dancing is very fast and can be interpreted like a dance of freedom after the coming out . The recording is a great sociological document because it contains a lot of elements very typical to each coming out. For example, the astonishment of the parents, then , the " I knew that " or the question of the absence of future grand children. I have shown this video in some festivals with a certain militant dimension on gay issues.
